Why do white women want to be darker and black women want to be whiter?
White women go to tanning beds. They want their skin to be darker, as this is deemed by society to be attractive. Yet, black women wear blonde wigs because blonde hair is Hollywood's hair color. White women, you're white, get over it. Black women, you don't have blonde hair, its very obvious its not your real hair. Be happy with the hair you naturally have, you're not fooling anyone. I think blonde hair on a black women looks absolutely awful. I prefer natural beauty, so anything fake is not doing it for me. That also applies to white women who fake bake and have that orange glow to them. Or any female who has tons of plastic surgery. Does anyone else agree? *I'm sure someone will call me a racist and report my question. But honestly, I'm not a racist, I just prefer natural things, and until you can convince me black women can naturally have blonde hair, then I'll continue to be appalled by these women.

- Because the grass is always greener on the other side.
- I could care less how people want to look. If their look makes them smile every day, to me that is what matters. I think people should dress and look any way they want to and I would be the last person to judge them. I also know someone with purple, black, and red hair that is one of the most caring, God loving, and giving person I know. I feel it all comes down to what is in your heart. I actually love the differences in people. Just think of how boring it would be to sit on a park bench people watching and everyone was the same. Take care.
- Inferiority complex.
- Women wear their hair the way that makes them feel pretty and I'm sure women tan for that same reason, you don't have to like it but it is what it is and I'm sure they can care less if their hair looks fake or skin looks bronze so why do you, find a "natural woman" and get over it.
- Not all white people want to be darker. I, for one, embrace my pale skin.
- Way I see it, people should do what makes them happy. If a black woman wants to have blond hair, that's her business (as for me, been there done that...not a good idea). If a white woman wants a tan, as long as she does it sensibly, then again it's her business. What's with all this criticism lately re: women who want to enhance their appearance in different ways? I just love it the way it's mainly MEN who rubberneck these women they consider "babes" but yet also criticize them as "fake" and they ignore the women who are truly "natural" because they don't look like the women in the fashion magazines.
